Zoya wanted Hyderabad at its most Nizami — and Hyderabad delivered. The Mehndi glittered with khada dupatta and pearl jaali work; the Nikah was solemn and beautiful, the qazi sahab's khutba hushing 350 guests as the Mehr was settled and Qubool Hai said three times. The Walima that followed was a Nizami dastarkhwan to remember: haleem, baghara baingan, and a sheermal for every plate.
