Two big Punjabi families, one enormous appetite for celebration. Kabir's baraat came in on a white ghodi with a forty-strong band, and Ananya answered with a Sangeet so rehearsed it could have toured. We built a mirror-tiled stage under a heritage dome, kept the halwai's chaat counters running till midnight, and lit the mandap in a thousand diyas for the morning pheras.
